What happens at the first appointment?

We’ll start with what brings you in and what you’d like help with. I’ll ask about your health history and explain the treatment I recommend. You’ll have time to ask questions before we begin. If you’re seeing me in Brooklyn, allow about an hour.

How is community acupuncture different?

At Brooklyn Acupuncture Project, I treat you in a shared room where other patients are also resting. You choose what you pay from the clinic’s sliding scale. At Alban Acupuncture on the Upper West Side, I see you one-on-one in a private room. Compare the two settings.

What will my visit cost?

If you see me in Brooklyn, your first visit is $75–$100 on a sliding scale. Follow-ups start at $60. See Brooklyn’s current fees. For a private visit with me on the Upper West Side, call 212-319-5757 for the self-pay fee or an estimate based on your insurance.

Can I use my insurance?

Yes. I’m in network with Aetna and Cigna for private visits on the Upper West Side. Call us at 212-319-5757 with your insurance card handy, and we can check what your plan covers and what you’ll pay. See insurance details.

Hi, I’m Davin.

Davin Ramlogan, M.S., L.Ac.

I’m a licensed acupuncturist in New York. I earned my master’s degree at Pacific College of Health and Science. My training includes gentle Japanese acupuncture, trigger-point techniques, and Chinese herbal medicine.

I see patients privately on the Upper West Side and in a shared treatment room in Brooklyn. Depending on what brings you in, we may also talk about cupping, gua sha, or Tui Na bodywork.
